A thoughtful approach to what truly helps in mental health care today
FROM CLEAR MEDICAL GUIDANCE TO STRONG ADVOCACY, I’LL HELP YOU MOVE FORWARD AND CREATE A LIFE THAT FEELS LIKE YOURS AGAIN.
Your life feels overwhelming.
You want support and change.
But right now, figuring out where to start or what you really need feels confusing and impossible.
I get it—I’ve been there too.
I’m Clarissa Doi, MD, a physician who swapped the corporate grind to create a virtual mental health practice that meets you where you are.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of adults find clarity, receive thoughtful care, and get the support they need—including disability evaluations and spiritual care—without the usual stress and frustration.
What really matters? I’m known for providing straightforward, compassionate care and clear medical guidance that fits your life. No fluff, no judgment, no rushing—just real support that works.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
I see mental health differently.
I don't separate mental health from real life.
I see mental health differently. I don't separate mental health from real life.
Mental health isn’t just about symptoms or diagnoses—it’s woven into every part of your life. How you work, relate to others, and carry yourself each day all matter.
That’s why I take a whole-person approach that meets you where you are. Care should be thoughtful, personalized, and grounded in your real-life experience—not a one-size-fits-all solution.
When mental health affects your ability to work or live fully, you deserve a physician who listens deeply, provides clear guidance, and advocates for you with compassion and clarity.
Support That Meets You Where You Are
YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT. TOGETHER, WE’LL FIND THE KIND OF CARE THAT ACTUALLY FITS YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW.
Thoughtful Medication Support
Medication can be incredibly helpful — and it should never be rushed or one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand your life, your stressors, and your goals so medication, when used, truly supports you rather than complicates things.
Disability & Medical Leave Advocacy
When life or work becomes unsustainable, you deserve a physician who will advocate for you. I provide clear medical evaluations and walk with you through the disability or medical leave process so you’re not navigating it alone.
Spiritual Care (Chaplain-Led)
Some seasons don’t need fixing — they need care. Our team includes a trained chaplain who offers spiritual support for grief, loss, transitions, and questions of meaning, outside of diagnosis or treatment.
Here’s how we get started
Step 1: Start with a Conversation
We begin with an initial consultation where we talk through what’s been feeling heavy, overwhelming, or unsustainable. This is a space to be heard, ask questions, and start making sense of what support might help.
Step 2: Choose the Support That Fits
Together, we decide what kind of care makes sense for the season you’re in — whether that’s medication support, disability or medical leave advocacy, spiritual care with our chaplain, or a combination. Nothing is automatic. Everything is thoughtful.
Step 3: Ongoing Care, As Needed
Support doesn’t stop after one visit. We continue to check in, adjust as life changes, and walk alongside you with care that evolves — not pressure to “move on” before you’re ready.
“She is a great doctor, listens to you well, is extremely calm, compassionate and supportive of your needs in her approach to treatment. She is also down to earth and friendly which makes it easy to discuss and understand better, including the pros and cons of various options available to you.”
“Dr. Doi is the best - great listener, extremely compassionate - just talking to her you get a sense of relief that you are in the right hands. She is extremely open minded, supportive - it's easy to talk to her without feeling judged. She by far the best I have seen, can't thank her enough for everything she has done for me.”
