THE SCIENCE OF FUNCTIONING WELL

Performance Medicine for Lives Under Constant Demands

A physician-led practice for people living in high-demand environments

Performance Medicine is designed for people often in high-visibility roles, parents managing full, tightly scheduled lives, or high-achieving students navigating intense academic pressure. Days are structured, fast-moving, and highly visible, with little margin for disruption. Traditional psychiatry can sometimes feel too broad or generalized for this level of complexity. Care here is focused on clarity, precision, and supporting sustained cognitive and emotional performance in real-world conditions.

Meet Dr. Clarissa Doi

THE PERFORMANCE PHYSICIAN™

Many of my patients are individuals who carry significant responsibility in their daily lives—often in roles where performance, decision-making, and consistency are expected under sustained pressure. They tend to function at a high level while managing the less visible effects of stress, cognitive overload, anxiety, or burnout.

My clinical approach is shaped by years of experience in high-volume, systems-based care environments. This work gave me a deep appreciation for how symptoms affect everyday life—not just how they appear in clinical assessments, but how they influence focus, functioning, relationships, and a person's ability to sustain the pace of modern life.

As a Stanford-trained, double board-ceritified physician, I've spent years working closely with individuals in high-demand professional environments, both clinically and personally, which has given me a grounded understanding of the pressures these roles can carry.

My work focuses on clarity and precision: understanding what is driving symptoms, placing them in the context of a person's life, and developing a plan that is both clinically sound and practically sustainable. Care may include evaluation and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, stress-related conditions, burnout, life transitions, medication management, and mental health leave or accommodation assessments.
